Every Government in this world wants to make its database
crystal clear. In this regard, it uses various techniques to verify its
resident & nonresident people. The most common technique now-a-days is the
use of technology. Indian Government is not the exception. In an effort to
bring more and more authentic data, new concepts and tactics are used.
Initially, people are registered/ enrolled via eaadhar biometric system but now,
a more solid step has been taken by UIDAI. The step is to verify each mobile
user with its Aadhar number.
In India, mobile subscriber are increasing day by day and in
order to improve law & order situation in the country, Government has
decided to verify all mobile subscriber. The Telecom Service Providers (TSP)
are directed to verify their subscriber details via biometric system linked
with Aadhar system.
This new system has affected the residents and non-resident
Indians as well. Because people have to visit TSP (Telecom Service Provider)
franchises to verify their mobile numbers with Aadhar details. Due to heavy
rush and technological problems, the situation has become worst.
The UDAI directive to all mobile operators in India is to
verify KYC (know your customer) details has put a great pressure on TSP. In a
very short period of time, they have to complete this process. In case of non-resident&
expats, it might become difficult to verify KYC details. So chances are that
TSP (telecom service provider) will lose a high percentage of consumers in near
future.
The Government is monitoring the issues very seriously &
as a result, allowed an alternate course of action whereby senior citizens, NRI
(non-resident Indian) & expats can apply online by providing certain
documents & undertaking to complete the process. In this way, they are not
required to visit TSP (telecom service provider) office for biometric
verification.
The said process is exactly the same as that of senior
citizens over 70 years of age. The process of Aadhar Verification for NRI is as
follows:
a. Input the mobile number on TSP (telecom service provider)
website.
b. Filled declaration form undertaking the fact that i am an
Indian national, however a Non-resident Indian, do not
have Aadhar or the mobile number is not registered with UIDAI & documents
uploaded are authentic and free from any defects.
Once all such steps are followed, you will get 4 digit code
on your mobile phone. Just enter on the webs and fill out CAF (customer
application form), upload a scanned photo, scanned copy of passport & visa.
After this process gets completed, an 8 digit alphanumeric transaction code is
played. Now, the applicant will have to give this code to a trusted UIDAI
registered mobile holder (whether Indian resident or NRI). This person will
have to enter this transaction code on TSP website with his Aadhar number to
verify the mobile number of that other person. Once this process gets
completed, the mobile subscriber will get a SMS message. Normally, it takes
maximum 96 hours to complete the verification.
